There comes a time when the ancestral land of
Ibeku whose root cannot be traced observes her
New Yam Festival popularly known as "IRI JI".
And the time has come and its happening again
this year 2015.
Its our CULTURE and not a Cult; its our HERITAGE and so you don't have to Hate us for it; its our STYLE, so don't see it as a Sin; its a long time practice which goes beyond AGE, so
don't see it as a Sacrilege; its our PRIDE, so don't take us for a Ride when we are doing it; its
our IMAGE of who we are, so don't portray us in a Negative way; its our TRADITION, so don't Trivialize it; it has come to STAY, so rejoice with
us and keep the malice away.
IBEKU AWA LA JI!!!
From the mountains of ISIEKE, down to the valleys of AFARATA, even as you descend far down EMEDE, as though you can't see the top of
the hill where NDUME lies, but look carefully you will certainly know you are beholding AFARAUKWU, which cannot be hidden, oh! even with the large land mass of AMAOFORO, indeed Ibeku is a great warrior whose clan cuts across
the seas and rivers of OSSAH.
Ibeku is a fertile land to dwell, sojourn, live, work, do business and all other things.
God bless Ibeku land! I am proud to be an Ibeku man!
Long live Ogurube 4, the paramount ruler of the great ancient Ibeku clan!
Long live Ibeku my ancestral land!!
