Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu with Abia PDP Excos after the peace meeting.
Based on the information made available to AFN, peace has returned to Abia State Chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) through the intervention of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu.
In the peace meeting which held last night in Abia State Government House in Umuahia, AFN gathered that the governor listened to all the parties involved and sued for peace.

The Governor reminded members of the State Executive Committee that PDP in Abia State has been the envy of other state chapters, in terms of internal peaceful coexistence and harmony.
The Governor likewise stated that every action has its suitable time and, therefore, cautioned that this time demands for unity, mutual understanding and co-operation.
We also leant that the governor noted issues raised by both sides but urged all to put the collective interest of the Party first, especially now that the Party is preparing for elections.
Present during the meeting includes; the Deputy Governor of the State; Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu, a Member of Board of Trustees of the Party and former Deputy Governor of the State, Chief Acho Nwakanma and many other prominent stakeholders in the Party.
