Gombe – All is set for the meeting of all the Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe, the Gombe State capital.
Already, no fewer than six of the Governors have been sighted in different government lodges in Gombe as at 8:00 pm on Sunday evening.
The meeting is expected to begin at 9:00 pm or 9:30 pm.
Among the first to arrive was the Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, who was also seen alone in a posh car with Governor Dankwambo on the wheels going round all the lodges housing the Governors.
Other Governors who were already in Gombe as at the time of filing this report include Ben Ayade, Emmanuel udom, Ifeanyi Okowa, Darius Ishaku, Victor Okeze Ekpaezu and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State.
Also attending the meeting are all State PDP chairmen and their Secretaries across the country.
Though journalists were not given the reason or agenda of the meeting holding in Gombe, speculations have filled the air that Governor Dankwambo is hosting the meeting to woo the support of his fellow Governors in his bid for the party’s Presidential ticket.
Also expected at the meeting were the National Chairman of the party, Chief Uche Secondus and many other party bigwigs.
A source in the Government House, Gombe told reporters that a communiqué is expected at the end of the meeting that could take several hours.
