Abia Swears In New Chief Judge

Abia State government today sworn in the acting chief judge of the state, Justice Onuoha Arisa Kalu Ogwe. After the administration of oaths by the state solicitor general and permanent secretary, State Ministry of justice, Barr. Enyinnaya Okezie the governor maintained that the sole interest of Abia remains that stability in the judiciary of the State to deliver justice to the common man and charged the new chief Judge, his lordship, justice Ogwe to ensure that such feat is attained.

Recalled that on Friday, 26th of January 2018 following the suspension of justice Theresa Uzokwe by the Abia State House of Assembly and subsequent swearing in of an acting chief judge, justice Obisike Orji who in the wisdom of the NJC later suspended, Abia has enjoyed a place of prominence on the pages of national dailies.

Ealier today, the attorney general of the State and Commissioner for justice chief Umeh Kalu while stating the position of the state on the legal matter maintained that Justice Obisike is a victim of circumstance and urged the NJC to tamper justice with mercy.
