Contractors are being owed for many years. Why are they not included in the payment plan? Okezie Ikpeazu is just trying to win sympathy from Abians, while neglecting the contractors, most of whom are not indigenes. Some of these contractors have been owed for as long as 10 years by the Abia State Government. Why are they not being given any attention? The Governor needs to do something about the companies, most of whom tool loans to execute the contract and whose businesses have collapsed as a result of the huge debts owed them by Abia State. Some of the contractors have even died from stroke, heart attacks, and other stress-related ailments due to the pressure that the non-payment of their debts has caused them.
