Abia Central Senatorial tribunal sitting today was fire work filled, with both petitioner Bar. Ahamdi Nweke and the respondents fielding legal gaints as lawyers.
Chris Uche (SAN) stood in for the Petitioner, Wole Olanipekun (SAN) for PDP and Barr. Levi for INEC.
The petitioner was able to present 8 witnesses today who were cross examined by the respondents.
Throughout the cross examination, two positions were emphasized by the witnesses ; Some maintained election held, but the result sheets were not provided which led to filing in the wrong result datas by PDP and their candidate T. A Orji., the second set stood on the position that election never held in their areas.
The respondent lawyers did not do enough to disprove the position of the witnesses based on the information we gathered .
The matter was adjourned to tomorrow for more witness presentation by the petitioner.
