Shocking Man Bites Off Robber Ear In Aba

Aba is a strong city where its citizens do not fear any body, not even when they have a gun pointed at them.

Such is the case of Chijoke a  suspected robber,
Chijioke Ikechi, as a victim bit off his ear lobe
during a robbery attack on a residence at
Ukaegbu Road, Ogbor Hill, Aba, Abia State.

Ikechi and three other members of his gang had
invaded the residence, dispossessed their victims
of N300,000 and inflicted a machete cut on a
resident, Ndubuisi Mba.
Vanguard gathered that residents of the area sent
a distress call to a police patrol team as one of
the victims held on to Ikechi after biting off his
ear lobe, while other members of the gang fled on
sighting the police.

A resident told Vanguard : “We heard shouts that
armed robbers were robbing near our house and
called the police, who did not waste in responding.

“When they saw the police, some of the armed
robbers ran away. The victim held on to one of
them and the police arrested him. We commend
the Police team for responding to our call.”

Police Public Relations Officer, Abia State
Command, Ezekiel Udeviotu Onyeke, a Deputy
Superintendent of Police, who confirmed the
incident, said the police recovered a machete and
an iron pipe fitted with wood, resembling a gun
from the gang.

The police spokesman added that Mba, who
sustained a machete cut, had been receiving
medical attention at an undisclosed hospital in
the area, and appealed to the public to volunteer
useful information that could help to nab fleeing
members of the gang.
