Both Dr.Uchechukwu Sampson and Dr.Alex Oti were all members of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) sequel to the Primary election of the PDP that saw Dr.Okezie Ikpeazu,coming victorious in which ever manner,as we are not the legal juries to pass judgement over the outcome of the December 8th Primaries of (PDP),For Dr.Alex Oti,the man who was believed to have the support of the Abia masses,the reality became obvious on him,some weeks to the primaries of the PDP,which made him to immediately pitch tenth with the All Progressive Grand Alliance(APGA)and subsequently emerged the candidate of the party for the Abia 2015 governorship election.
There are more to say,than just to conclude that the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) denied Dr.Uche Ogah the parties ticket,and there are also more to say that Dr.Alex Otti was rigged out of the governorship election in Abia state,these factors and challenges,are what political pundits are finding difficult to publicly crusade for the Abia state Governorshi election to be annulled by the Court or the Tribunal.
Uche Ogah Challenges:
The Uturu born Bussiness guru and President of Masters energy,is a man whom i admire so much with passion,due to his enourmous philantropic lifestle and humble begining,he is a man that won’t allow you finish your painful story before he offer’s his hand of assistant to help you,but in politics,they say its a dirty game,and everything about politics points to dirtiness.
Prelude to the primaries of the peoples democratic party(PDP) there were reports that the former governor of Abia state Chief T A Orji has solely anointed Dr.Ikpeazu as his choice of successor,while majority opposed that choice,some of us understood that in the game of politics,interest supersedes emotion and passion,Uche Ogah appeared more humble than all the aspirants that justled for the party’s ticket,to add more to his credit,he publicly appeared as a preacher of the gospel of christ,than that of a bussiness who turned into a politician.
In 2012,when the former President of Nigeria Der.Jonathan removed fuel subsidy,there were oil barons that sponsored protesters who were led by Senator elect for Kogi state Mr.Dino Melaye,it will be total injustice to this piece if i do not add this addendum,Uche Ogah was alleged to be among the oil marketers that protested against the subsidy removal,even before the name Sure-p came into being,there was a name used to qualify that sector,which is PEF(Petroluem Equilisation Fund) under PEF,major marketters of oild benifited so much that government now gives them tanks full of oil to sale and return the money back to Governmmet,Uche Ogah was reported to have failed to deliver tanks of oil given to him to market,he was alleged to have transferred it to his Master’s Energy Company.
Like I stated above,politics is devoid of emotions,another factor that worked against him,which i never and will never believed was the Abia charter of Equity’as i have always noted,the charter of equity and that of the PDP’s constitution is never above the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,so Abia Charter of Equity was used by the former Governor of Abia state,to scale through the Senate,which he eventually succeeded.
Some of the cabal’s within the PDP used some of those factors above,to work against the Uche Ogah’s mantral of Abia Rejoice,because they saw him as a wise man who wont allow the cabal’s in Abia state to dictate for him,if the party had allowed him to scale through.
But one other factor,which might be favourable to Ogah,is the position he came forth with,after the result of the PDP primaries was made public,Ogah was reported to have scored a total of 108 Votes,to come a distance 2nd in the race after Ikpeazu,this developement was seen as an error by the organisers of the primary election,because it was reported that the former Abia state Governor Chief T A Orji made it clear,that Uche Ogah should not be allowed to come second,because any mistake of such will see him winning the war through the judiciary.
Eventually Ogah came second,and the question now is Can the Judiciary ease his quest to govern Abia state? Your answer might be the best!
Alex Oti Challenges:
Dr Alex Oti held sway as the Managing Director of Diamond Bank PLC,during his days as MD,it was reported that the bank saw a huge number of progressive growth,due to his policies and Programmes.
But in politics,your philantropic qualities can add little or nothing,Alex Oti was very close than any other candidate that took part in the just concluded Abia GUBER including the current governor Dr.Ikpeazu,through the isntrumentality of Dr.Alex Oti,Abia state civil servants were forced to operate with Diamond Banks PLC,when he was the Bank’s MD,Dr.Alex Oti has severally invited the former governor to his Arochukwu palatial home,both for commisioning and for funfare,until the former Governor insisted on Zoning.
It was alleged,that Dr.Alex Oti rushed to Isiala-Ngwa to get a land,were he built a house to portray his origin in the area,as history did let us know,Ngwa People were products of Arochukwu and Akwa-ibom,but with the way and manner at which Dr.Alex Oti carried his nativity activities,it was obvious,that there is more to argue,than as i have postulated above.
Dr.Alex Oti wrote a letter to the PDP,informing the party of his intention to change his membership registration details from his Arochukwu ward to his new country home in Isisalangwa Ngwa South before his exit from the PDP,of a fact,Dr.Alex Oti parents and grand once were reported to be full blown Ngwa people,but when they died,Dr.Alex Oti exhumed their bodies from Ngwa Land,were they were buried to Arochukwu as a sign,that they are not from Ngwa-Land,that action gave many unconvincing answers because no one can point to the fact about his native home.
Another factor,that might be useful to Dr.Alex Oti’s mantral of Change,is the cancellation and reversal of the four Local Government Areas by the INEC returning officer for Abia Governorship Poll,it was widely reported,that Dr.Alex Oti was coasting home with Victory,not until the results in Obingwa,Osisioma,Ugwnabo were made public.Wether it was lawful for Prof.Ozumba to have cancelled the four Local Government Areas,and later reversed it after a few minutes meeting with T A Orji,Ugochukwu Onyema et al,is left for the last hope of the common man to decide.
Between Alex Oti and Uche Ogah,the defintion of terms and hope might be clear on one side,while the difficulty might be multifarious,one many wonder why am sounding this way,but it boils on the fact that Ikpeazu’s mandate is seriously seen as the Ngwa-man’s Project,pointing to the fact also that the Leader of the ruling Party(APC) in Abia state Dr.Nyerer Anyim is a brother to Ikpeazu,the need for Ikpeazu to pitch tenth with the APC might be on the way soon,in order to save the Ngwa-Man’s Project.
But which ever,and whatever the judiciary decides in the upcoming days,Abians remains unparturbed,because we became Abia first,before having passion for Anyone.
