GDAA Extends Helping Hand To FMC Umuahia Abia State

Dr. Chukwunazom Obi, the founder of Good Development and Accountability Advocacy (GDAA), has called on well meaning Nigerians, NGOs and government at all levels to always assist the less privileged living in the society.

Dr. Obi who made the call at the Federal Medical Center, Umuahia, Abia State while handing over a cheque to the hospital management, to enable them settle the bills of some identified indigent patients, who has long been discharged but were unable to go home because of their inability to offset their bills.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Medical Director, the ADMSS, Mrs. Orieji Uka thanked the GDAA for helping them reach out to the indigent in their facility.
She used the opportunity to call on other good spirited Nigerians to emulate the kind gesture of the organisation.

The Medical Social Service Department of FMC had earlier written to the GDAA and Trustlink Ventures Nig. LTD in affiliation with Tex American Investigative and Security Services Inc, appealing for assistance to sponsor the payment of outstanding hospital bills of some identified indigent patients,and Abiastatenews.com for online coverage some of whom have long been discharged but cannot go home because they are unable to settle their bills.


Some of the content of the letter read, "from records and information available to us, we ac
knowledge your philanthropic disposition and commitment to helping the less privileged, particularly those caught in the web of ill health, infirmities and financial incapacitation. While commending and appreciating your line gestures, we pray the Almighty God to continue to bless you and strengthen your resolve to bring succor to the indigent"
