A social-Political Group under the aegis of Abia Progressive Front has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of plotting to intimidate the Lawmakers elected on the Platform of the All Propgressive Grand Allaince(APGA) on who to vote,during the inuaguration of the 8th Abia state Assembly.
The Group in a statement Released in Aba on Monday by its President Mr. Promise Uzoma Okoro, accused the PDP of plotting to use armed thugs to achieve its aim,the group wondered why the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) modus operandi always points to Violence and weaponry, According to the group, PDP has caused monumental damages to Abia State and should not contemplate any action that could ignite crises in the state.
The Group maintained that any forceful use of thugs and some hungry security personnel to intimidate some members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and some few in the PDP who had frowned over the arrangement, will amount to total insult to the people of Abia state who elected them into the Assembly.
It will be recalled earlier now,that efforts to install the Son of the out-going governor of Abia state Mr. Chinedum E Orji had failed following the election of Twelve members of the All Propgressive Grand Allaince (APGA) into the Abia state House of Assembly, thereby making it impossible for a smooth ride on the PDP.
