Ballot Boxes Missing Ikuku Orji Shares Money More Election Irregularities in Abia State

In Abia state, elections in some part of Abia North and South senatorial zones were disrupted by thugs who carted away electoral materials.

In some units in Osisioma and Isiala Ngwa council areas, INEC adhoc staffers were forced to leave the polling units, because they could not provide the result sheets when demanded by party agents.

Although, accreditation started early in the morning in most of the polling units, there were instances where party agents rejected the process, leading to calls for the cancellation of elections in the affected area.

The same was the case at Umuakpara village where some sensitive election materials were carted away by thugs.

There was also cases of card readers” failures malfunctioning leading to a resort to manual voting at Generally, there are reports of irregularities across various centers, while some election observers were beaten up in some areas at Umuahia North.

Also, some journalists ran for safety at some areas in Umuahia South, when angry electorates threatened to attack them.

Meanwhile at Lorita near Ugwunchara in Umuahia North LGA, PDP Agents allegedly sent by the Governor Son Engr Chinedu Orji where seen sharing money, people are handed cash provided they have their PVC and are willing to vote PDP.
